Shopaholic

I would've thought I had already scratched that shopping itch to its maximum, but when you are here in Manila, that it is just absolutely impossible.
Anyway, apart from the tiangge temptations, you've got the online sales that are just way too hard to resist.
A perfect example was yesterday when I had bought J a few men's polo shirts and myself a few items as well. I promise, that's the last, for now at least. LOL.

Not worth it

Gadgets are not the best thing to invest in right now.
That's all I can say. I have been around the shops lately and prices really are dropping, especially with the strong Aussie dollar's performance.
I have only been recently dreaming of maybe getting an LCD TV, when in comes LED and after that 3d tvs.
How can we ever catch up with this fast pace?
Competition is obviously fierce, and I am just waiting for retailers to get down to my spending comfort zone. :)

Working it

It is hell week, I imagine, with tons of reports due, being the usual end of the month deadline.
I reckon I will be having dark circles under eye, in fact, in both eyes, from working long hours on the computer.
I wish there was a way for me to make this time of the month easier for all of us. But it is just way too hectic.
I know it is all about time management. Apparently, I have yet to perfect that skill!

New stuff

Well, the modern furniture we ordered about a month ago finally came last weekend.
We've had to move a lot of our stuff into one of the spare rooms so we can accommodate all the new ones.
It was a massive task relocating the old sofa and having to clean the space where it used to occupy it. And don't get me started on how intense the cleaning had to be.
Anyway, I am pretty stoked that they are all here now.
The house looks pretty cozy! :)

On sports

Seeing all these footballers on the world cup sure makes you think about testosterone.
I am not a follower of the coverage of this competition, but I am sure there are heaps of females out there who are.
And I am certain too that they are watching not just for the love of the game. ;-)

I am more actually a tennis fan because I love the fast pace of the game, and the end result of any match is ultimately up to just one person, and not the joint effort of a team.
But then again, that is just me.

Just lucky

Well, it is officially the first day of winter.
Even so, we have been feeling the cold weather ever since May began, methinks.
While it is lovely to have a change of wardrobe (as I do love knits!), I feel sorry for those with arthritis. Surely, they are starting to get more pain in their joints now more than ever, and I am pretty sure joint pain remedies are all in place, just in case the pain becomes unbearable.

My dear grandfather is not spared from this degenerative disease, but he is lucky to be living in warmer climates.
I guess it's always best to look at the brighter side of things -- and that is knowing that he could have gotten far worse illnesses.
But he hasn't, so thank goodness for that!

Good news

Yes, the good news is... I passed the citizenship test and my citizenship application was approved by DIAC in a matter of thirty minutes. So I am just over the moon (and who has time to think about life insurance at this time?)!
I am so pleased with the outcome, as I was not expecting it to be finished in such a short time.

I will be attending the citizenship ceremony next month, much to my delight.
This only means that I must rummage through my closet for something special to wear. Otherwise, if I am unsuccessful in my search, it's off to the shops I go.
I am more looking forward to the latter though. :)

On Shopping

Your Shopping Stereotype is Balanced

Unlike most people, you don't really obsess over shopping. It's a chore, just like any other. You crave a simple, stress free experience when you go shopping. Convenience is very important to you. You tend to know what you want, and you're willing to pay to get it quickly. You probably enjoy shopping online. You enjoy taking time to pick out what you want, but once you're ready to

Yes, that is me, although I must also admit that I enjoy shopping with someone as well.
I can be the ultimate Devil's Advocate! LOL. Like last weekend, hubby was not planning to get his phone updated (or so he said). After a few convincing statements from me, I decided to let things go and let him decide in the end. He surprised me by saying that he wanted to have a look at some cell phones in the shop.
We came out several minutes later toting his new unit. :)
How's that for convincing power?

Hooked

So we are back!
Yes, I have spent the recent long weekend without my trusty old laptop, and by the time we got home yesterday, I was so itching to get back into the swing of things on the net.
I tell you it was like Cyber Monday because I had stayed online surfing for God knows what until midnight.
I really found it amusing to realise how much the net was a part of my everyday life.
I reckon it is an addiction that I just cannot get enough of.

Australian Open 2010

Well, today is the first day of the Australian Open in Melbourne.
I have always wanted to go back to Melbourne and see pro tennis live, and tour the rest of the city which we have not had the chance to see while we were there almost 2 years ago.

Anyway, I saw the opening game a while ago between Nadal and Luczak.
I will be looking forward to the men's events as it is interesting that we do not know who really may take the trophy home this year (apart from of course their physique which is no doubt in need of testosterone booster).
